About Panache

Panache is the reflection of Peggy Holmes, built from a love for beautiful things, beautiful places, and decades of design experience. Personal interaction with clients results in home interiors with sophisticated Old-World charm and modern comforts, where today's finest furnishings are accented with rustic antiques, polished pewter, and rich fabrics.

While traveling the world, Peggy absorbs experiences, impressions, styles, and cultures. She selects tasteful but unpretentious antiques with warm woods, luxurious leathers, soft patinas, verdigris brass, and lush fabrics in a variety of home furnishings. Peggy's discerning eye places these delightful objects in clients' homes, often in their traditional roles, but also in updated uses to accommodate and complement the tools and accessories modern life requires.

Peggy completed interior design school in 1982 and is certified by the International Society of Interior Designers. She opened Panache on Ogden, Utah's historic 25th Street in 1983. Imported European antiques melded comfortably with brand-name furnishings from Ralph Lauren, McGuire, Chapman, Scalamandré, Carnegie, Maitland Smith, and others. A second store opened in 1990 in Park City and soon moved uphill to Deer Valley.

In 2004, demands for personal design services, travel consultation, and guided antique shopping excursions led Peggy to consolidate retail operations to a Panache boutique shop in a restored Victorian mansion in Salt Lake City, Utah.
